I saw AlwaysInspired's Split Decision quilt  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=400594.0 last week and just HAD to use the fat quarter bundle of Moda/Basic Grey - Origins fabric that I had stashed and waiting for the perfect project to show off the wonderful color palette.

This is my 3rd quilt, and the best yet!  I straight lined quilted it.  It took me 6 days, or about 25 hours.  I listed to the unabridged audiobook renditions of The Fellowship of the Ring and the almost the entire first half of The Two Towers before the last stitch went in.

This one is for my sister :-)  It measures 60x70 inches and is meant to be a 'couch quilt' for her when she moves to Seattle later this year.

The colors of this quilt are SO AWESOME...I can't stop looking at it.

The entire thing

Draped, with a kitty inspecting the backing.

Closer view of some quilting...another kitty is evaluating the comfort level

And the good news is... I have enough fabric left over to make myself one of these!!!

This isn't Kansas, and I'm not wearing red shoes.

I do very much like this quilt.  Both the pattern and the fabrics are quite pleasing.  (I hear a hobbit voice when I type those words because I've just finished the audio book for "The Hobbit" and today have started the "Fellowship..")  Grin

ATC personal swap? I spy quilt square swap?

Kitty approval is always a good sign for a quilt.  Will they let you give it away?

Great job, and great "helpers."

One is less than three.
