Ok, so my mom taught me to sew when I was about 12 or 13.   I was decent at it, but didn't really enjoy it.  Lately, I've been getting craftier, teaching myself to knit, etc.   So when my mom cleaned out her basement and gave me my grandma's old 1975 Singer, I decided to give it a try.   Here's the result--

Not too bad, IMO.   Now if you look at the inside and see how I still can't cut a straight line after all these years, it's kind of bad.  But the outside looks ok, and who looks at the inside anyway?   Most importantly, my son LOVES them.   Grin

Very nice! I bet it feels good to be getting back in the groove. There is so much cute fabric out there and with summer here, you'll probably be making some more.

Your son is a real cutie.

LOL, nice, huh?  Whenever my daughter or I paint our nails, he has to have "pitty" (pretty) too.  Either he'll outgrow it, or turn into a cute little Goth boy.  Either works for me.  LOL

It is nice getting back into the sewing thing.   I'm very impatiently waiting for a zipper foot and buttonhole maker thingo for my machine so I can start on a dress for my daughter.

I have two boys cousins who were the same way till they were about 8 or 9.

Well, welcome back to sewing! Doesn't it feel good when you see him wearing something you made that he loves? Congrats!

I think that you're definitely one of the coolest moms in the world, lmao.

And very good job, excellent for not sewing for 15 years! =]
