I've been a long-time lurker of this site, but I've never actually posted anything... so I thought it was about time. Smiley

Anyway, I made some Harry Potter plushies a while back using felt, yarn, pillow stuffing, pipe cleaners, & googly eyes (is that what they're called?).

First off, Professor Snape. (given as a gift to a friend)

Harry and Draco (I used a pipe cleaner for Harry's classes, but now that I have craft wire, I'm thinking of trying to make the glasses out of that. I made Draco's mouth crooked in an attempt to show him smirking.)

Another pic of Harry, without the robe.

And Ron, in a Weasley sweater.

Any suggestions for shoes?

Oooh so cute!!!!

For shoes - you might try buying a small sheet of styrofoam and using a file/sand paper to sort of whittle it down in to a shoe shape? This way it would be pretty easy to make an opening for the feet to actually go in (maybe make them removable?), but giving the cartoonishness it wouldn't be too detailed a job of sanding.

Keeping in mind of course that all of the above is talk, and that I've never whittled anything, much less styrofoam. It's just something that I would try.

Really awesome work!

Shoes are over rated, that's why none of mine have shoes. That and I'm barefoot person anyway besides nothing says they have to have shoes, they look good without them.
