I have an herb garden that gets lots of use during the summer time. My Hubby and I love cooking with the fresh harvests, but I was having to do most of the harvesting since I knew what plants were what. Here is the "before" photo.

I decided things needed to be clearly marked so the Hubby would have an easier time finding what he wanted. I enlisted his help with the scroll saw and he cut out lots of little mushroom shapes for me. After a few hours work I had both sides painted. Here is a WIP pic of the backsides drying.

Ta-da! A garden full of fun colorful mushrooms clearly marking the herbs!

Here is a close up of the flat parsley marker to show the writing.

The herb garden is so much cheerier now and well marked too!

I love it!!  I have two mystery tomato plants in my garden because the stick markers got lost (washed away?) These would stick around! Smiley

Plant markers would not help me.
A few weeks ago I ripped out half a row of carrots while weeding!
I DID wonder about the weeds growing in such a straight line - but thought they were just smart (and sneaky)weeds.

I LOVE this idea! I've been trying to come up with something really cool for markers for my veggie garden and I think I might have to steal this idea. I'll give you credit. Smiley I love that it adds such cute pops of color.

Great job!
