Okay, the lawn chair is as old as my daughter...who's in the middle of high school. It was faded, rusty in spots, and ready for junk day. Then, the challenge was announced!
I had nothing to lose, so decided to just have fun with it.

The picture doesn't show how faded and blotchy it was in real life, but you can see some of the rust.
First, a coat of white spray paint. Then, I spritzed black spray paint over it to mottle it. Yay 99cent cleanance paint! I daubed on some gold. Then red. Decided the red made it look like it was from a slasher flick, so added blue. Then green, purple, copper, black, a different blue, more green, more gold, and more purple.

MUCH brighter colors than the picture shows! The chair is somewhat adjustable, it'll lay completely flat, too.

Here's a close up that shows the colors a bit better.

But we're not done yet! If I'm going to lay about and relax on my spiffy refabbed lounger, it needs a pillow! Hmm, and what to use that I can leave outside?
Enter the shirt. Purple, thin, some scratchy nylon blend with metallic fibers that looked great, but was a bit too small. I sewed the neck opening closed. I inserted a roll of saved bubble wrap. I pulled the excess fabric around the back, and safety pinned it. That way, I can easily remove the filling and wash the sweater when I like. Yes, it's a bit lumpy, I need to readjust the filling to make it more symmetrical, but I was in a hurry to take pictures before I went to work. I left the sleeves just as they were! That way, I can easily tie the pillow to the chair.
And done! I sprayed the chair with a good coat of spray sealer, and I'll do a few more coats when time permits.

Lumpy pillow! But I'm going for comfort, and for something that I'm not afraid to leave outside.
And the stretchy sleeves snugly tied to the back.
Sorry for the pic overload, but this is my first challenge entry! And it was loads of fun .
