That's the great part about this pattern!  You don't have to sew the hexagons together - you join them as you go.  I don't think I would have made it if I had to sew each hexagon together at the end.  Nope, with this pattern you connect the hexagons in the last round by working the chain stitch around its neighboring hexagons. 

It sounds confusing, but it's super easy and SO MUCH BETTER than whip stitching the squares together (and not to mention, it's a lot stronger structurally).

You should try it!

It's beautiful!  How much of each color did you use?

I used 2 skeins of the Rowan Cotton and just baaarely had enough towards the end, ha - cutting it close!
