It is so beautiful - like a stained glass window or jewels - but oh so many ends to sew in.  I hate sewing in the ends of threads.

I thought sewing in all the ends would be tedious, too, but it actually wasn't too bad.  (PTL) You work over the loose ends of the hexagon as you crochet so all I had to do was sew in the last color of each hexagon.  I would work an entire row, then go back and finish all the ends.  Kept me accountable as I went so I didn't have 159 to do at the end, ha.

It's beautiful!  How much of each color did you use?

Thanks!  I used 2 skeins of each color of the Rowan Hand-knit cotton.  Just baaarely had enough yarn to finish it, but it worked out!

Oh what a great idea!  I've got a bunch of leftover sock yarn that I was looking for something to do with!  This might be a great idea!

Thank you for all the positive comments!  This crocheted hexy is definitely a great project and one I'd recommend to anyone looking for a challenge or a way to use up some extra yarn.

I love your color choices!!! I started a hexagon but haven't finished - this must have taken you a very long time!
