I claim TroubleT for kid's knit or crochet hat
(3/0/2)

Im a girly girl from a small town in Iowa, who loves anything pink. I spent most of my day crocheting and knitting, but would love to learn some new crafts. I live with my boyfriend (of 7 years) and our small Multipoo dog named sissy.

Blue = Big Wish
Red = Super big wish
Crafts:
-    Pillow with straps that I can attach it to the headrest of my computer chair to make it larger and just a tad higher.
-    Large lunch bag My mom takes her breakfast, lunch and whatever else she will need for the day in a plastic grocery bag. Maybe someone has a better idea for a reusable bag?
-    Detroit Lions Vest I would love a Lions vest for my dad. He wears a xxl. If you have an idea or something else Detroit Lions themed, that would be great too.
-   Slippers For my dad. I believe he wears a 9 in US mens.
-   Zipper pouches I love zipper pouches. I could use some to hold my knit/crochet accessories for my wip bags.
-   Work in progress bag I am really open on this, since different projects can use different type of bags. It can be any shape or size. It does need to close. I dont care how (zipper, flap, etc).
-   something inspired from my wist:
Crafted items or Supplies
-    Hand-dyed yarn roving any color/amount/weight
-   unPaper Towels. Reusable towels like this. You dont need to send a paper towel holder.
-    Nightmare Before Christmas wallet/holder  Based on this, but it would be better if it was to hold memory cards or money (or anything else you can think of) instead of tea. Actually, anything Nightmare Before Christmas related would be wonderful.
-   dried lavender sachet Ive heard moths dont like these. Anything to repel moths would be great.
-   Weekender Bag
-   Lumbar pillow
-   Fimo Canes Homemade or store bought.

Craft Kits:
A how to or starter kit for any of the following crafts would be great
   * polymer clay buttons
   * needle felting
   * tatting
   * candy/chocolate making
   * soap making

Supplies:
We live in a tiny town. The nearest craft store is 30 minutes away and in a small town so the selection is limited. There is a Hobby Lobby with the basics and a small Joanns which is almost useless for anything other than fabric (they have a good selection of fabric but I dont sewlol). So it is hard to get supplies. I have to get most things online and some just arent worth paying shipping for. I have no problem with used supplies.

-     Self Striping or Self Patterning yarn In worsted weight. ex. Noro, poem, Some Plymouth lines are self striping, any others.
-    Short Circular knitting needles , any size. Maybe 5-12 inches long. I have 16 inches and longer.
-     Fabric Yardage Cotton, blends, flannel or polyester in 2+ yards
-    Beginner Crochet Supplies  I want to teach people how to crochet. I will only be charging $5 (which is how much it cost for the newspaper ad, so Im obviously not doing it for the money lol), I cant afford to buy all the supplies for them. So if you have any supplies you want to send to a beginner, I would appreciate it and so would they. Just some ideas would be: hooks, beginner books (it doesnt mater how old they are), beginner pattern(s), stitch markers
Anything thing else would be great. I have acrylic yarn covered. I would like to get enough supplies so I could volunteer to teach girl scouts or some other similar groups, so it doesnt matter if what you sent is geared towards kids or adults, someone will love it. It also doesnt matter how much you send. Even one hook would allow me to teach someone. Even one stitch marker would help.
-   Rotary Cutter any size
-   Beginning Sewing Books/Patterns
-   Any Wool yarn with label(s). I am not good at knowing weight/fiber without the label.
-    Nylon Cord
-    Bernat Baby Fingering Weight Baby Yarn This yarn goes on sale every now and then, but our local jo-anns doesnt carry it. I can use any color. Lilac, pink and blue would be my first picks.
-    Knit /crochet accessories: Point protectors, stitch markers, stitch holders, row counters, etc. I can also use crochet hooks to teach beginners.
-    Any Stamp Carving Material Staedtler, speedy carve, extra large erasers, etc. My only option here is speedy carve but our Hobby Lobby is sold out a lot (they usually only have 1 or 2 in at a time). Anything would be great.
-    Cupcake Molds for polymer clay Any would be great.  I found a whole bunch cheap on ebay and etsy, but I dont have the money. I dont care if it is the flat kind or the 3D kind. When I say any, I mean it Smiley I dont care if it is homemade or store bought.
-    Molds ones for ice cubes, polymer clay, resin, soap and/or candy
-   polymer clay tools
-   button/badge maker
-    Denise Interchangeable Set I would absolutely love a used Denise set, but I dont think my odds are very good Smiley It is perfectly fine if it is missing parts. It can be for knitting or crochet.
-    Collage Sheets Digital or printed. I need sizes for 1 circles, 1 squares and/or scrabble titles.
-   Buttons ones with patterns on them, in cute shapes, or shank back. Anything different. I dont need any more regular buttons.
-   Poly Pellets
-   Sold Black Safety Eyes any size
-   Smaller Tunisian/Afghan Hook(s) I need size G and smaller.
-   Beginning Crochet books/pamphlets I want to teach a class. Any beginner books you dont need anymore would be great.
-   Ultimate/Incredible Sweater Machine accessories I found a used Incredible Sweater Machine for $10. Maybe someone has some accessories. I have the row counter (was on clearance at my joanns). I could use the extender (I found 1 on clearance, then I learned it will take more than 1) or any other accessories (patterns, whatever). I hope to one day upgrade to the ultimate machine, so I am glad all the parts are interchangeable.
-    Blocking Wires
-   Fimo Canes Homemade or store bought.

Extras:
-   Flea/tick treatments for dogs (you can find these at some dollar stores not the collars or spray)
-   Doggie treats
-   Boudin Bread
-   Crystal Light On the Go Pure Fitness any flavor

I claim craftaddiction for zipper pouches

3 claims, 0 outstanding, 5 received

Hello everyone! I'm TroubleT!

I live near Atlanta, GA. I'm a mother of 2 (one boy 10, one girl 5) and have a fantastic husband. I've been a high school Spanish teacher for 20 yrs and LOVE my job. I love jewel tone colors. I prefer clean, simple lines and designs over busy any day. Cheesy

I embroider (a LOT), crochet, stencil, sew, and dabble in a few other craft mediums.

I have lotsof info about me  in my profile, my blog ( http://thetroublewithcrafting.blogspot.com/  - a specific page just for my swap buddies!), my wist ( http://www.wists.com/troublet ), and my pinterest ( http://pinterest.com/Troublet/ ).

My Wishlist

~MAJOR WISH ALERT!!! I would love an over-sized cowl, large enough to be able to pull it up over my head. I've learned that I can't wear most hats due to my hair having serious problems with static during the winter (regardless of how much conditioner I use). A large cowl might work! Something around this size. I would be totally fine with chunkier yarn as I know it would work up faster. Smiley

~a set of coasters for my living room (colors are medium brown, cream with accents in olive green and rust), preferable something that won't entice the cat to turn them into toys, maybe the bottom could be something clingy like plastic shelf lining so it won't move easily

~a check book cover would be lovely!

~A super special pencil pouch for my daughter who starts kindergarten in just a few wks! *sob...sniffle*

~Wall art in your favorite medium for my living room or kitchen

~Embroidery for my Hoopla Wall or my Daughter's mini hoopla wall (contact me for color schemes!)

~Stenciled t-shirts for me (adult large, prefer men's style shirt w/o a pocket, cap sleeves look horrible on me). My husband has declared that I NEED new ones. LOL

~an altered zip up hoodie - an OM would be fantastic!

~a hanging earring holder that matches my bedroom or bathroom

~heavy duty pot holders - we cook a LOT with cast iron so it needs to be well padded.

~a decorated ceramic coffee mug

~snack bags for carrying mid morning munchies to work Thanks bergman!

~crocheted/knitted socks or slippers for me! size 7.5 US
Thanks luckdragon! Cheesy

~a full kitchen apron w/ pockets for me - I'm a shorty so ask me for measurements!

~draft dodgers - Functional more than decorative would be nice (my cat might try to turn it into a toy...) and I don't mind filling it myself. I just never get around to making these.

HOLIDAY GIFTS - Yes, I do think this far ahead. Being a teacher, it's a survival tactic since December means mid term exams on top of the normal holiday crazy.

~handmade Christmas ornaments - I love quirky, comical ornaments. Nothing religious please.

~handmade Christmas cards would be fantastic!

~From Santa gift tags - (Yes, Santa brings gifts and both of my kids still believe in him. Cheesy ) A set of 6-8 really cool decorated tags would be great!Thank You LovelyMiss!

~crochet or knitted hats for my kidlets for the upcoming colder months (either medium blue or red for my son age 10, pink or purple for my daughter age 5) Thanks craftaddiction!

~a tv remote caddy for my DH's recliner (it's a medium brown with bits of darker brown highlights)

~a set of quilted (or just pieced) pillow covers done in dark "turkey" red and cream for my mom. (I will gladly fill the covers.)

~Snowmen stuffies for decorating my house. I usually try to get a couple of new ones every year and a hand made one would be super special! Smiley

Wishlist for my classroom - My students get a kick out of the hand made items that I have in my room!

~Artwork or Hoopla for my classroom - Lots of possibilities here! I already have a tiny flamenco dancer hoop and an Aztec sun god hoop.

~A set of UGLY decorated ink pens so that they won't get stolen by my students! (Only don't make the decoration overly large so I can still see what I'm writing if I use them. Wink )   Maybe something like these. WOOOHOOO! Thanks Babalina58!!!

~a set of decorated clothes pins for my Star board (I use this board to brag on my students for non-academic successes so it's covered with newspaper clippings of Star Athlete of the Week, examples of their drawings/artwork, etc. Smiley )

~a set of signs (heavy card stock is fine, blinged out preferable) saying things like Bueno!, Fantastico! and Maravilloso! for my bulletin board where I show off good grades.
Thank You LovelyMiss! Cheesy

Craft Supplies that will always make me smile

embroidery floss - I prefer cotton or silk. That rayon stuff is the devil!

Wooden embroidery hoops - any size or shape

Buttons!

pretty quilt fabric bits (under 1/4 yd is fine) - I want to make some mini wall art quilts.

Zippers- any color or length, reclaimed is fine with me. I've just learned to set zippers so I want to experiment. Smiley

Other cool non-crafted things I like
:

herbal teas- My fave teas are mint, berry zinger and chai but I drink it all.

cool ink pens for work - I actually like to grade papers in something other than the evil red. Wink

fine point sharpies

dark chocolate - 70%-80% dark is my range

cat nip toys for my furchild

I claim TroubleT for classroom bulletin board signs, santa gift tags, and a few other surprises to equal medium.

3 claims/2 sent/2 received

I adore all things outer space (and collect space ships), computers and technology, anthropomorphized objects, casual games and crosswords, television (very specific shows, though), and trying my hand at any-and-everything crafty.  I like the weird, subversive, kitschy, and novel, along with a good dose of cute thrown into the mix.  As for my stylewell its probably just easier to say I dont like country or shabby chic.

I am super sensitive to scents (most of them give me migraines), and will break out in hives from wool or anything even remotely rough or itchy.  (Im open to most any fibers or fabrics, though, if they wont be in direct contact with my skin.)  I dont wear much jewelry or use a lot of bath products for the same reason.  Also, I cannot touch cotton balls or anything that feels like cotton balls (yeah, its weird!).

Thanks in advanced for claiming me!  Youre awesome!

I claim LovelyMiss for something from her Wists and some small embroidery hoops. This is my 3rd claim, 1 sent, 1 received.

I'm 27 in Colorado. I teach English at a 6-12 Early College model school. Im married to a college English student whos obsessed with science and math (life is funny that way). We have four cats. We are currently trying for a baby, which is so much fun!

I love the colors black, white and red, as well as gray and yellow together. I love gold and silver sequins and glitter. I love circles and spheres. I love odd sea life like squid and puffer fish. I love cryptozoology, especially yetis. I am fascinated by the relationship between giant squid and sperm whales, i.e. their blood feud, and would love something beautiful related to that.  I love red lipstick. I love dinosaurs, especially the aquatic kind. I love film noir, vintage circus/freak shows and Mae West movies. I do my best to work a little 40s into my outfit every day. I love giant bulky knitted things.

I AM 100% OK WITH USED AND THRIFTED THINGS AS LONG AS THEY ARE CLEAN.

I don't love blue, purple, dark green, patriotic or other novelty fabric, colored glue or puff paint. I hate messy sewing (uneven corners, loose threads etc.)

CRAFTS:

Screen printing/stenciling:

I like my shirts to be girl-fit, size L/XL, and I like gray shirts with mustard lettering, or black/white, pink/black, white/black, green/white.

   * a t-shirt or big canvas tote bag with a squid and a whale battling. Thanks jo_mama!
   * T-shirts that say I would prefer not to,  Thesaurus Rex (with a dinosaur)
   * A jackalope throw pillow, shirt, hoodie, boots or dress. I would love something realistic rather than something cartoony. A simple silhouette would be awesome! LOTS of examples on my Pinterest.

   * A knitting tattoo-style  t-shirt would be awesome, too. Knit Fast, Die Young, maybe? There are lots of snarky knitting puns out there.
   * Mens 3x t-shirt that says I need a nap.
   * Mens 3x t-shirt that has Carl Sagan on it and says We are a way for the cosmos to know itself
   * a cryptozoology shirt like this: http://pinterest.com/pin/69323189/
   *A Loch Ness Monster shirt that says I Believe

Sewing:

   * A leather, fake leather or vinyl notebook cover for my husband, to cover a 5-subject spiral bound.
   * These type pillows or pillow covers: S and C. http://wists.com/myloveasdeep/47fe96d8e3e280f3bfe872b80e4d6028?offset=0
 HUGE WISH  * A semicolon t-shirt, tote bag, or throw pillow.
   * car trash bag that hangs on the back of the seat
   *Embellished cardigans like so: http://pinterest.com/pin/65586572/
   * Kitty toys. They like little fur mice, feathers,  and catnip, but the toys have to be very small or they wont acknowledge them. Less than 3 long.
   *Sloth! http://pinterest.com/pin/71680002/
   *Keychain monster: http://wists.com/myloveasdeep/feb481fa669ac0eccce1c2a5582566a2?offset=0
   *slippers with poofy toes like this: http://pinterest.com/pin/68148170/
   * These slippers lined with something warm http://tissupapers.blogspot.com/2008/06/elle-tie-on-slippers.html
   *altered bow shirt: http://pinterest.com/pin/16176900/
   *Star Trek tunic: http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/womens/d7a3/?pfm=Search&t=star%20trek%20women%26%2339%3Bs

Paper Crafts:

   * Design me some retro-looking Christmas cards using old 40s-50s advertising images. I only want 5-10 and they can certainly be the inkjet kind...I want to send cards this year!
   * A journal with an image of the Hermit from the Rider-Waite Tarot deck on the cover
   *A book purse ( I love the classics)

Jewelry:

  HUGE WISH * This satin-cord-and-big-beads necklace, in green/silver, mustard/silver or black/red. http://www.etsy.com/listing/62987604/green-and-silver-satin-and-colors
   * This bead-and-ribbon necklace: http://www.marthastewart.com/article/jade-beaded-necklace-with-ribbon?backto=true
  HUGE WISH * An Elva-style necklace: http://shop.elvafields.com/collections/types?q=Elva
   * Button pins of any size bigger than 1 which say: I would prefer not to, I could sure use a deus ex machina about now, and respect the apostrophe.
   * A semicolon pin or necklace. Love semicolons. Thanks atsuko!
   * A jackalope necklace
   * a knitting necklace. Maybe a tiny ball of yarn with needles in it as a pendant? Probably a polymer clay project.
   * Scrabble tile pendants: a S and an H
   *Earrings like this: http://pinterest.com/pin/43874028/
   * book necklace: http://www.mandipidy.com/2010/11/tutorial-book-page-necklace.html Thanks atsuko!
   *Spock necklace (from TOS, not the new movie) http://pinterest.com/pin/15246963/

Difficult to define:

   * At a flea market last summer, I saw a Jesus shrine made entirely of seashells and plastic flowers with a little plastic Jesus in the middle. It was unbelievably tacky, but had a strange beauty. I have regretted not buying it ever since. If you know what I am talking about and can either make one or have one, I love you.It would need to hang on the wall.  It was a bit like this, but had brighter, almost Day of the Dead colors: http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-ORNATE-SHELL-CROSS-PEARLY-CRUCIFIX-ITALY-/150521573913?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230bc8f219

   * If anyone wanted to make a small Carl Sagan shrine, preferably wall-hangable, that would be AMAZING. If you go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSgiXGELjbc , theres a remix of some of his famous lines that means a lot to us as a family.
   * A Tarot shrine/altered art piece centering around the Hermit card

CRAFT SUPPLIES:

   * Smelly stickers
   * Mustard-yellow yarn of any blend
   * Velvet ribbon
   * A bleach pen and tips on how to use it for t-shirt designs
   * sequin trim
   * any buttons bigger than
  * yellow chevron fabric (actually any chevron fabric)
  *Oh how I want this rubber stamp: http://pinterest.com/pin/49030764/
  *small scissors, markers, and glue for my classroom
  *acrylic paints
  *small fancy Victorian-style frames, circle and oval-shaped frames (color unimportant, I am going to paint them) (Thanks jo_mama, I can always use more)
  *your small-floral, striped, or polka-dotted fabric scraps (vintage esp. lovely)
  *yarn needles
  *a two-prong power cord/pedal foot for a Singer Simple sewing machine (my rabbit chewed through mine. Grrrrrr.)
  *felt
  *many colors of thread (tiny bobbins are fine)
  *I love vintage knitting needles
  *some velcro

EXTRAS:

   * The summer 2006 issue of Knit1 magazine.

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

I claim A2K for a food journal (and undoubtedly some other things Wink).

4 claims/2 sent/2 received

Im going to claim Lovely Miss for a half apron!!

This is my third claim
One have been sent (dc info will be sent shortly)
None have been received

Hello there !!
Im Tammy.  Im 39 and im married to a great man and mom to three handsome boys in Northern California. I moved here from OH and love it!! We just purchased our first home and are thrilled!!  I like to sew, quilt.  I am starting to get into embroidery and can crochet a little bit.  Im very much into girly type stuff and love anything regency -titanic era. I also love 30s-40s things as well.  I am allergic to nickel.

Here are my wishes
Anything off my wist list is great!!

Mediums (more can be found in my list  Grin)
~~Jewelry (chokers, bracelets, earrings but please no nickel posts)
~~Aprons!!  Even though I sew them I would love to see what others come up with!!  I would also like two childrens apron (both are under 12yrs old)  Transformers and Spiderman a plus!! (one claim at a time is fine needless to say  Grin)
~~My MIL is a bingo fanatic!!!  A bingo bag or a nice seat cushion would be great for a gift.
~~New purse  I am in need of a large school bag/tote!!  The strap on mine is starting to come loose.
~~Handwarmers like the ones offered at Hot Topic.com. Victorian Goth ones would be perfect.
~~Crazy Quilted Purse.  Or any purse made by you!!
~~Regency or Victorian era Reticule
~~Petticoat (cotton or cotton blend please) either knee or ankle length with some fullness to it as I like poufy skirts !! I actually wear these a lot!! (Im 5'5 email for length) (received one from farmgirljane and would love more!!)
~~I would love some soft wool socks!!  Size 7 feet
~~I have a weird obsession with knitted cuffs!! I love them!!  Chocolate brown, red, white, mustard yellow.
~~ Anything that can help me decorate my Victorian inspired sewing room

Im also looking for a sign that says "Please no solicitors or religious groups"  I have people of one kind or another knocking at my door constantly and it makes me rather uncomfortable.  .

Crafted Items~~

KNITTED AND CROCHETED

I love this shawl and I am willing to wait longer if anyone will make it for me. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CivilWarShawlKAL/  Im not picky about color.  Would be just happy to even have one.

I need some new wash cloths for dishes.

I would like a fairly large thick soft bathing washcloth for me.
 These are pending!!!  Thank you!!!

SEWN

**Civil War Era Cape called a Mathilde Mantilla (Think of a Civil War era Poncho.  This is basically what it is)  Here is a link to the pattern http://www.uvm.edu/%7Ehag/godey/images/s5902170.jpg  and here is an example of what it looks like http://www.thegracefullady.com/civilwargowns/ready-mades_silkmantle.htm Measurements will be provided.  Wool blend or Corduroy would be great. Hood is decorative and is not functional. It only uses around 3 yards.  I would also prefer it lined for warmth. It would be great if I could retain the pattern as well for future projects.  (I can sew I just cant figure out how to make it <frown>) without a pre-drafted pattern.  OR If someone with any drafting skills wouldnt mind drafting a pattern to my size I could play around with it and make my own (If I have a pattern to work with)

Primitive Raggedy Ann doll (An example is in my wists)

Victorian caplet.  At least waist length please email for length.

Slat bonnet or corded can provide links if needed.  Any pattern should do as they are all basically the same result.

I would love some embroidered handkerchiefs. Monogrammed with my initials would be nice too!!

Victorian slippers.  This pattern is from 1864
http://www.victoriana.com/VictorianShoes/victorianslipperpattern.html

Im looking for special kind of apron for my husband.  He cooks the eggs at breakfast time and is a ninjitsu martial artist.  I would love an embroidered apron that has a ninja/martial artist holding a spatula in each hand and says "Egg Master" underneath.  Fabric and colors are open as long as its durable and holds up.

Other Crafts~~~
Bars of handmade soap (the kind that is made from lye).  Lavender, oatmeal, goats milk, citrus are great however any scents are welcome!!  Or soap supplies/kit as I would love to learn how to make my own. Plain Pre-made soap bars that are ready to have scents, colors, herbs ect melted and added in are appreciated too as I have young children and am concerned with having lye in the house.

Room sprays, bubble baths (im looking for some really good foamy bubbles!!).

Bath bombs.  Also jars of bath salts would be fantastic as well. Im good for now!! Thanks!!

Im looking for some scented oils.  I would rather these be handmade or from specialty shops and not from stores like joanns or hobby lobby ect.

Hand crafted candles are great too. Prefer either fruit and or spice scented ones or lavender (only floral scented one I like).  Im also interested in the scented candle chunks that you can melt and scent your house with.  I have received some but always appreciate more!!

Whimsey jar are really fun!!

Im loving the moon jars!!  Would love to have one!!

Im looking for a serving tray that I can bring snacks from the kitchen to the living room.  Asian or Victorian influence a real plus.  Ive seen some nice ones made from frames (glass removed)

Im also looking for a picture frame.  about 1.5 inches or more wide/thick on the sides.  What I would like is a thin wooden back fitted to it. I dont need the glass for it.  An old vintage frame would be preferred for this.  Im going to use it as a center piece tray for candles (if you can visualize it will lay flat on the table) I can take a pic of the pic in my book if you would like to see my inspiration.

Shower curtain.  Victorian style please!!

My 18 year old loves Jack Skellington from the Nightmare before Christmas so anything with him on (appropriate for a guy) would be fantastic

Books that teaches drawing as well as an art kit of some kind put together would be great.  My 12 year old loves to draw comic books!!

Handcrafted Jewelry with Victorian influence

Victorian/Edwardian style chalk board.   Heres the idea.  Antique frame or mirror with glass/mirror removed (small or medium size if perfect).  Where the glass/mirror was is the area to write in (im not sure what would be used to create the chalkboard slate as I only know of the special paint).  Saw one in Victorian Trading Co.  I love the idea!!

Im looking for a table runner for our new table we recently purchased.  Looking for something, of course Victorian style as well.  Measurements can and will be provided.  Want something rich looking but affordable to make!!  Also looking for new fabric dinner napkins (18").

~~Supplies~~

Sewing items~~ Anything related to sewing is welcome!!  Trims, fabric, thread ect.(Gently used too)
Im also interested in any older sewing supplies as well from antiques stores and such (I have a tracing wheel i bought for $4 so they can be affordable).  Patterns (Burda Mag, Modern, Historic and Historic inspired too)!!  I need envelopes with a size 14 & 16 included in the envelope for dresses and tops and a 16 for skirts.  Thanks!!
Vogue~~ .. .2884...2968...1239 ... 8352...8003,,,v1178,,,v1172

Purse supplies of all sorts (handles, magnetic snaps, rings ect).  Silver Victorian clasps would be great too (can be found at Hancocks).  I desperately need some magnetic snaps!!

Scrapbooking items  (trims, paper, stickers anything!!).  Im also looking for some things like brads, ribbons, fancy paper, scissors.  Im also looking for corner punchers, rulers for making fancy torn edges and hole punchers (I have a heart one).  Also plain colored or white blank greeting type cards would be wonderful!!    Good for now!!  Thanks!!

My husband collects law enforcement patches.  I would love to get a bunch for him for him.  If you live near a prison, jail or other LE facility perhaps they would let you have one???  He gets his this way by asking and they are usually happy to give him one.  My husband loves Asian things as well as LE related (he is a correctional officer) and anything relating to the park service (Smokey the Bear gets double marks lol!!). Claiming A2K for Beaded Charms suitable for use as zipper pulls.

Claim #3 Overall / 0 sent / 2 received

About Me
34 year old woman who lives in Florida (USA) with my guy and two cats. Right now I'm out on months of unpaid medical leave pending a hysterectomy. I found out Memorial Day Weekend after a trip to the ER I was full of literally pounds of tumors. Cry
  • My favorite colors are jewel tones (like amethyst purple, emerald green, ruby red, sapphire blue, turquoise, and amber) or earth tones (like greens/browns together).
  • My favorite color combination is a deep teal blue and chocolate brown together. It makes me happy.
  • My favorite colors for shirts/clothes are browns, greens, purples, and both heather and charcoal greys.
  • I also love things that go along with my "PhoenixFire" theme like reds/oranges/yellows together
  • I like silver but not really gold. (Copper's ok too.)
  • My favorite animals are cats, owls, penguins, bats and red foxes.
  • My favorite flower is the Daffodil.
  • My favorite movie is Back to the Future
  • My favorite hobbies include: reading, photography and I love all things Disney!

ALLERGIES
I suffer from migraines so please NOTHING musk/amber/patchouli/dragon's blood or floral scented. Unless it smells like you can eat it, it will give me a migraine. I LOVE fruit and dessert scents greatly though. Also, please no bar soaps (skin is sensitive to glycerin) and nothing with artificial sweeteners like NutraSweet (aspartame) or Splenda (sucralose) as I'm allergic to both.

Crafty Wishes

 Grin = BIG WISH!

Sewing
-- A simple robe. I really like this style. Doesn't have to be exactly like that but I like the Japanese/Asian/Cherry Blossom influence, but it could be other colors/patterns that I like as well. Doesn't need to be form-fitting, can be a little roomy just not too oversized. (A little roomy is fine.) I'm generally a US size 4 and can send measurements!

 Grin --Comfy Lounge Pants/Capris Right now, because I'm on medical leave, I'm wearing a lot of lounge pants around the house. I can use more. I like them soft, comfy and not tight. Lightweight is best for Florida. The simpler the better. I have some wisted here with these my favorite in style. I tend to buy them in a medium to be more roomy. (Measurement specifics on wist description.)

NEW --Greek Goddess Halloween Costume I love this so much. I've wanted one like this for a couple years. It would be awesome to have one sewn to fit me versus generic costume sizes. Would be happy to provide measurements.

NEW --Belle Halloween Costume I would also love to dress up as Belle in her "Provincial Town" blue dress like this. This is a very simple outfit but hard to assemble from ready-made parts. Again, would send any measurements needed!

 -- Kitchenaid Mixer Cover Mine is the Classic (seen here) and I have a few examples of covers I like here.

 --Cable Sweater Purse like here. I've seen these made from repurposed sweaters, lined and then turned into a purse. I'm such a big fan of cable knit I really love this style. (Could be a different color, or a different ribbon color; just an inspiration example.

 -- Shower Curtain All the cool fabric ones I see in the store are way overpriced. Maybe someone got a great deal on fabric or something and could make me one. I use a liner so it doesn't have to be waterproof. I have a few examples here specifically shower curtains and some general fabric I like here

-- Flat iron cover I realized it's a pain to take your flat iron with you because you have to wait for it to cool down before you can pack it. So I need a thermal/heat safe cover like these. I have a standard 1" Chi.

 --Sewing Wist Surprise There are tons of sewn things on my wists here as well!

Knitting & Crochet
NEW Grin Grin --Jean Grey as Phoenix Ami I LOVE LOVE LOVE this so much!! Jean Grey as Phoenix = perfection. Want SO BAD!! (I was going to buy the original one but then went into the hospital and missed out.)

-- Hand knit socks. Something warm and soft I've got small feet so like a 6.5 size foot or girl's sized large socks for reference. There are some wisted here for inspiration. (And yes, thick ones for around the house are perfect too!)

 -- A cable knit bag. I really like cable knit and I think this bag is really cool.

 -- Knit or Crochet Wist Item - You can find crochet items here and knit items here.

  Grin Grin -- Chibi Marty or Doc BttF Plush. Probably bigger than a medium, but I want to list it anyway. Craftster member Noxika makes these awesome plush (like this and this) and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE one made of Marty McFly or Doc Brown from Back to the Future. Can't you just imagine how awesome a Marty with his orange "life vest" jacket or Doc with his wild hair in this style plush would be??

 -- Grin Grin Fitted Style Decorated/Screnprinted/Stenciled/Embroidered T-Shirts. Short sleeve, 3/4 length or long sleeve. Fitted (not the "unisex" ones that are boxy) in V-neck, scoop or whatever (just nothing that's so low cut it requires another shirt underneath) in size small or US 4 equivalent. (I like the ones from Target a lot but am open to others too!) I have received a ton and I love them but I also live in fitted tees and more are always welcome. I have a bunch of styles I love WISTED for inspiration. Also, embroidery decorated shirts are cool too!! It's getting warm here in Florida - time for some new tees!!

--  Grin Grin Batik/Dyed / "Shibori-Dyed" Fitted Tee Shirts Like above, short sleeve, 3/4 or long sleeve is fine so long as it's fitted. I like styles like THESE in my wists. I especially love the flame style one but really like this type of look a lot. It''s different from the shirts I typically wear and I like that. (Please just no hippie/Grateful Dead rainbow style tie dye. Nothing against hippies but it's just not my personal preference.) It's getting warm here in Florida - time for some new tees!!

 --  Ceramic/pottery tea mug, oversized mug, or cereal bowl or anything like that. Again, a skill I don't have but really love. (HERE are a couple things I've wisted for inspiration.)

 --  Anything with a phoenix. I LOVE the phoenix and there's not nearly enough phoenix-related things in the world or my life. You can check out my wisted phoenix items as inspiration.

 --Something Stained Glass I love stained glass. A little window decoration, a nightlight, a decorative piece - I think stained glass is so pretty. I have some pieces wisted here for inspiration.

 --Hoopla based on my likes (owls, trees, penguins, phoenix, Disney, daffodils, Back to the Future, bats, red foxes, etc., etc.)

 -- Ceramic/Pottery Spoon Rest I have a few examples here but really anything earthy, or blues, or natural type glazes would be wonderful.

 --Embroidered PhoenixFire Designs Logo Shirt If anyone has a computerized embroidery machine where you can take a digital image and put it on a shirt, I would LOVE to get a ladies fitted polo or cute, fitted V-neck tee with my PFD logo. That would rock. (Maybe on navy or grey or something that would make the color pop.)

NEW --Gil The Crab Art/Hoopla We have a Honda Element. And there were these awesomely funny commercials featuring a crab named Gil who wanted to pinch. (Youtube: I pinch!) We laugh about them still. So maybe art, or a hoop or something with Gil saying, "I pinch!" with the Element next to it like the commercial. It would just be really funny. (Our Element is this color if you want to make it match.) You could just screenshot the Element with Gil standing next to it with him saying, "I pinch!" or something. That would be awesome! Cheesy Like THIS EXAMPLE

 -- Daffodils - Spring always makes me think of my favorite flower, the daffodil. They don't grow here in Florida so I've got some wisted daffodil items here to help usher in Spring.

 -- Grin Grin Daffodil Spoon Ring Yes, I already listed daffodils in general but I love this. I wear a size 6 on four fingers. I think this is just really cool.

 --Embroidered Shirt I really like this idea. Doesn't have to be exact but I think that's a great place to start. Fitted shirt only please, size small if Misses or medium if Jr's cut. Jewel tones, browns, greys, etc. Maybe flowers, trees, branches, etc.? Front back, both - I just like this idea a lot.

 --Embroidery Surprise I have a bunch of assorted items both stitched and embroidered here which can be used as an inspiration.

 -- Surprise me! Look at my wists or my amazon wishlist, my etsy favorites, the colors I like, my favorite animals, or my favorite flower, etc. and see what you can make that you think I'd like!

Craft Supplies
--  Grin Grin WHITE Jewelry Presentation Displays I could use a necklace/earring combo and a bracelet hand. Used ones in good shape are fine too! Any kind of leather/leatherette/vinyl is awesome. These are examples of styles I like and could REALLY use. (These are examples. If you find something similar at another shop that's perfectly fine!)
 - Grin Torso like this.
 - Fancier Necklace/Earrings: Display, necklace/earring, frosted acrylic
 - Another Fancier Necklace/Earrings: Display, Venus figure, opaque white, 12 x 8-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches
 - Ring/Bracelet Display, acrylic, clear frosted, 7-1/4 x 4-1/2 x 3 inch hand

 -- Grin Grin Gemstone Beads I'd love to use more faceted, briolette, rondelles and other cut stones. Here are some I really am coveting.
(Listings shown are just for example of the stone. Can easily be smaller quantities for more reasonable cost!)
 - Any gems on my Etsy favorites - Bunches listed here
 (examples... Chrome Diopside rondelles or....Songea Sapphire (yellows/orange in color) or... etc, etc, etc!!)

  -- Mini Cake Pans. How cute are these? I don't know that I *need* them per se, but they're just so darn fun.

 -- Lampwork beads. Love. Wish I could make but I''m too scared of open flame. Cheesy

 -- Dichroic Glass Beads I love this mix for example. So pretty!

 -- Grin Grin Ninja Men Cookie Cutters. OMG, how freakin' awesome are these???

 --Epson Inkjet Ink Yes, odd request but I'm always needing to print things for crafts and I never have ink! There's only so much I can print at work. Wink Epson Stylus Photo R340 uses T048120 black and T048920 color ink.

 --Postcard Stamp I think this idea is super fun!

 --Earring Findings I could use some fancier sterling and/or gold (plate/vermeil) ones, especially chandelier style like this or this or this or this or this, etc.

 --Cricut Sure it's a silly wish but maybe someone has one they don't use anymore? That'd be cool!

 -- Button Maker I think it'd be fun to make my own buttons. Some sort of starter kit would be great. I've never made any before. Can totally be used/pre-owned!

 --Shirt dye kit I love gradient dyed shirts and various types of tie dye but I've never done it myself. Maybe some sort of kit to try it? I found this one as an example, but I'm sure there's more out there. Something that has everything I need to try it would be great since I don't know where to start.

NEW  Grin Grin --Hanging Torso Mannequin like this so I could use it as a "model" when photographing my jewelry. I could REALLY use something like this!

Extras

 -- Tea! Especially fruity ones. (Caffeinated ones are fine too for my morning cup at work!)
 -- Chocolate! (white, milk or dark) No coconut please.
 -- Candies! (whatever neat little treats you enjoy, send 'em my way. I love candy)
 --  Grin Grin Pineapple anything so long as it does NOT have coconut in it. (Candy, snacks, candles, body spray, etc.) Finding pure, straight pineapple is so hard!
 -- Beading/Wire-Wrapping/Jewelry magazines (esp ones with projects/tutorials)

Thanks in advance to whomever picks me! Grin
