Picked up some blue corduroy from the SCRAP store, I knew I wanted to make them into shorts but they sort of evolved into the cute 40's style

yes, I adapted a pattern called Anita from burdastyle.com. There's is much more low rise though, and I added the additional trim, pockets, and heart.
