Ongoing ATC Swap for July 2011

I got my last July card from MargiePoo.  It is her own kitty, 'Awsome'.  Looks a lot like my two white kitties! Such a beautiful card.  Thanks, MargiePoo.  A great addition to my kitties themed collection.

I received this card from Kitiza for my hamsa theme.  I am surprised (but pleased!) that the gems made it through the post OK.  It looks like it might be markers and watercolor, but I'm not sure.  No matter - it's cool no matter what it's made from!


Mikenssevie and I did a personal swap.  She combined three of my themes:  purple, cats, and belly dancing.


What she couldn't have known is that my first purchased costume was purple.  I probably had that same expression on my face, too.    Anyway, here's an old photo.  You can tell by the big hair and small belly - unfortunately those are reversed these days.

I received this card from Jillybeans its striders knife from the lord of the rings! Its awesome!!! Also the background is a page from the lord of the rings itself! (I hope the book survived! ) Its shiny and very awesome thanks for sending me such a great piece of art! It will start my knife atc collection out nicely!

The book was falling apart before I decided to craft with it.  Of course I didn't throw it away, and I had been saving it for an occasion in which I could incorporate it into something.  We have another copy of the book in our shelf, this was just a very VERY old and battered one that was being used as a wedge to hold up our old computer.  lol  (sacrilege?  a little, yeah)

I used pastel pencils and watersoluble ink pencils for the drawing - I love to combine those two. And I'm really happy those gems managed to stay in their place (I used the strongest glue that I had  )!
