2012 Special Olympics USA Scarf Project Craftalong-CLOSED

My daughter and I share a room, and after she went to bed last night I made a scarf. I was almost in absolute dark, caught up on my shows on the laptop, and crocheted by that light, lol, so I'm just happy it came out in the right size, the ends are a little wonky, I gotta figure out how to straighten those out now.

PixieVal, I can't believe you made a scarf in a night! I crochet way too slowly to do that... It looks great!

I also love the single stripe!  You are so awesome to crochet at night...I guilt tripped a few people into making scarves! ha ha..

So today at lunch, we will be sitting in the lunchroom knitting or crocheting our scarves for our state's Feb 1 deadline!

I made another scarf! I think this will be my last one, since I don't have enough yarn to make another.  Hopefully I'll get them sent out by the end of the week!

I have two to ship...my goal is to use up the yarn and stop!

PA has not updated their site!  But many states met their goal!

Good news for PA members...The Joe Paterno family has requested that donations be made to the Special Olympics in lieu of flowers...this will be a big boost to them! 

I will take pics before I ship!

Nice stripes! I don't think I'll be able to knock out a second scarf, unfortunately. If the deadline was after vacation, I could do it, but I don't have time before... Although, I just realized if a state has a later deadline and still needs scarves, I could send one there... Let me check... New Hampshire is February 29th! And they only have 206 out of 700... So, a scarf for NH will be my goal. A small goal, but a worthy one...

craftADDchick - I think I may be sending mine to NH as well. We will see once it gets closer how many they have received.

I guess we will mail ours tomorrow to another state in need!  YAY!  She did three and I did two...excellent!
