I wonder... if a state receives more than they need, do they ship them to states that have less than they need?

And why can't I find any information on Massachusetts? Sad

Yes, they do indeed send to more needy states. As far as Mass goes, there is no scarf project for that state. I think maybe she got the abbreviation mixed up? Possibly?

alwaysinmyroom - Oh good, I'm glad I said something! You're a machine!  Cheesy

indigo_roses - I noticed you are from PA too. I hope you read this in time!

I guess I'll have to find another state to send them too, then! Glad that they met their goal!  Smiley

My friend and I are sending to Maryland since that is a neighboring state...I did read that only 35 state are doing this...I think maybe it was ME and not MA... Sad  sorry...

Yes, I was glad to read that state with extras are sending to to other states so that no scarf will go unworn!!  That is so awesome... I wonder how many total scarves they got--probably around 50,000?

alishamisha--thank you for organizing this...it was one of the most rewarding groups to be in...I got to play with yarn, learn new patterns, and help out a bit...a great craftalong...you were so encouraging and motivating!

Aw you're sweet!  Kiss No problem, it was fun. Though I have only made one scarf it was good motivation to have the group. It's been fun having you all! Thanks everyone for joining! Without you guys we wouldn't have a Craftalong!

Sadly I don't believe they do the scarf project for the world games.  Undecided But while we are talking colors, I wonder what the colors will be for the 2013 Scarf Project...hmmmm...I think they are keeping at least 1 color from Red, White, and Blue in each year. Any guesses what 2013 brings us?

OH--I guess for the world events they must have sponsors and get USA uniforms? At least that gives scarf makers a break! Cheesy

The red and gray is beautiful!  I see so many lovely patterns from this swap... Cheesy

I love the booble lt. blue and white one!

I think the reason they don't do it for the world games is because there are not that many athletes who have the privilege to go. As it is Maine sent only 2 or 3 last world games. If they did a scarf project they would meet their goal in a day!

The red and grey is definitely beautiful indeed. It's my favorite color selection so far. I hope they get creative for 2013! I wish I had the job of choosing. I mean, how fun would that be?!?!

Definitely, a big thanks to you AlishaMisha for organizing. It made me actually get a scarf (and hopefully 2) finished, unlike 2009 when I bought the yarn and let it languish in the bag until well after the deadline.

And, I wonder why MA doesn't have a project going on? Maybe MA and RI are combined...

And, I love the look of blue and gray, so I'd love to see that as the next combo!
