jungrrl was sweet enough to send me a couple of old specimen boxes she came upon, so I made them into shadowboxes. The first one I did for cackle in an IYP swap, and I finally got around to completing the second one. I love these boxes, and wish I had about a hundred more! Isn't the handwriting on the back amazing?

Here's Castor in her new home:

She's standing near two old watch part vials filled with black and orange glitter. There are also two tiny die stacked nearby. Can you see the writing inside on the cardboard that was re-used to make this box?

I taped the back on with tissue tape. I love the look of it, but it's really not strong enough to hold, so I ended up gluing the tape in place. I also added a hook for hanging.  Smiley

And there you have it. Is it Halloween yet? All of a sudden, I've been in the mood for witches and skeletons.  Cheesy

I love her!

I know what you mean about the tissue tape...I love the stuff but I think calling it "tape" is a huge stretch for ol' Mr. Holtz.

Agreed. Doesn't he realize tape should actually be "sticky"?

At least I got the two, so thanks again.  Kiss
