Look look look! I found this dress in a thrift store for only 1 (= 1.42800 U.S. dollars  Wink ) I thought the print of the dress was great, but it was waaay oversized and I could never wear it, right?

(Voor = before reconstruction, na = after reconstruction)

So I decided to make a romper out of it!

(yup I know, it's a bit see-through)

I'm so happy with how it turned out! But a little note to self: make the crotch a bit lower next time, because I can't really raise my arms up high.  Cheesy

Let me know what you think!

I like the fabric and it makes a cute romper. It looks like a completely different garmet now. I wish my recons looked as good as yours. Was this easy?

This looks awfully cute and comfortable! I keep seeing these weird 90's dresses, sometimes even with cool fabric- this is a wonderful idea on what to do with them  Grin You transformed that dress beautifully and it does look great on you Grin

Thank you!

And yes, it was easy pease, did it in (not even) 30 minutes.
This movie might come in handy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TQtI3_HWlM but I did it a little different.

Oh well this is going to sound waaaay too complicated. In a week or so I will post a tutorial on my blog on how to make the romper from an old dress!

I like it! It looks like fun for lounging around with a beer!

Since we are a community, I would like to make a suggestion. If it were mine I would tailor the shoulders a bit and maybe shorten the sleeves. I'd feel more comfortable going out and about if it fitted more snugly at the top, but either way it's cute and much more fun than that giant dress.
