Hey everyone, I've been out of the loop for a little bit but I just wanted to say how great everything looks! Love that cross stitch by Quaggy! And the mug! Where did you find an owl so awesome?  Grin

ironic,
I had a lot of fun crafting for this swap. I'm glad you like the items I sent (and I'm glad they arrived safely).

If it is the owl mug in question, I got it at Pier 1.

I only found 1 owl extra and it was at the thrift store. My problem was finding cute owl fabric.

Me I am a hoarder!   The little owl planter I sent was at Hobby Lobby from about 3 months ago, the little trinket box was from Cracker barrel and the mug pier 1.  I always buy stuff when I see it that I could use in future swaps as extras like stuff I know people often say they like skulls, cupcakes, owls, hello kitty, whimsies, etc.  Alot of the stuff I use coupons from Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Pier 1.  Randon times targets dollar bin will have notepads, stickers or Dollar General and Family dollar.  I also shop alot at Ross for extras and goodwill.  Hense my partner liked more realistic owls, and not sit abouts so I picked a few things from my stash that fit her likes!  So it was a win win for me. I still have stuff that I can include in another swap package down the road.

Fabric is an addiction too!  I buy from Hobby Lobby with ther 40% off coupon for my batting, and Hancock's too.  When Hancocks puts there fat quarters on sale for .99 I try to buy $10 each time. The coupons for 40% fabric at Hancocks not on sale is used to add to my stash also.

I could probably craft for several years without buying a thing!  I did buy the owl macrame beads off ebay for the planter I made and the 40% coupon was used at Hobby Lobby for the macrame cord.

Hope this help's a little!

I forgot to add, I look for hand towels that are marked down that I can embroidery on.  Ross has a lot for like $2.99 or 3.99 for 2 towels.  Tuesday Morning also carries these you just have to check often.  Tuesday morning has two sales a year where all there yellow sticker items are 1/2 off.  I save my money and hit this sale big time since it gets me double for my money!  I buy them too after holidays like the autumn colored ones, and try to buy basic colors so that when I get a partner, I head to my stash and pick one for the background and embellish with their color choices!    I guess you could call me a cheap crafter!!!!

Yes I am fortunate to have 3 bedrooms with only 1 in use.  # 2 is set up as a guest bedroom but I never have guests, the 3rd is my craft room.
