After being thoroughly disheartened at the lack of modern, tailored shirtdress patterns, I used a 1966 Simplicity pattern (6833) from my collection to create this dress.  I took my time, first making a muslin, then shortening the sleeves and bodice, and finally creating this:






I'm really not that pregnant...only 14 weeks.  The wind caught my dress. 










The question is, do I dare wear it anywhere beyond an elementary school playground???

co cute , I love the dress , and the fabrics are really cute together I love your Cateyes to , I think we might have the same pair or like super close , I got mine off etsy and had my prescript put in them , could I see a close up pic .. of the glasses ... oh and I love your photos to they are all really cute and I love that they are at a park very cool

Sure!  Here's a nutso close-up starring a bow-tie I made for a student of mine...and the glasses, too.



I found them at some antique shop or flea market.  I usually source vintage frames as I can never find anything I like that's "me" enough at optical shops.

lol me to I love vintage glasses My first pair of prescript sunglasses are Vintage 70s huge frames with red lenses got them for 99 cents at salvation army and my optometrist does lenses for 51 $ so it was a great deal our Cat eye  glasses are similar but not quite the same .. i like the pic btw lol Smiley ... here is a pic of mine .. feel free to delete it if you dont want it in the thread lol
