We waited until I was 12 weeks along to tell our parents we were pregnant.  We wanted to do something cute, something funny, something that smelled like a crafting opportunity.  So I conceived of (pun intended) and created these cards.  We presented them to DH's family after a dinner at the in-laws' one night (they live close), and mailed them out to my family, with express instructions not to open until they are on the phone with us.  

Here was the grand reveal.

I made 7 of these suckers.  With google image, glue stick, card stock, and my trusty X-acto.

Each person saw this:


Yes, it's an oven.  The "door" says "PULL".  So they did and saw this:


Slightly confused (or disappointed, if they understood the euphemism at this point), they opened the card to see this:



And then there was mass hysteria and excitement.  Yes, we're having twins.  Two buns in the oven!
