Yes, I second that, Bunnie Boo--super cute owl tote, thanks for sharing it!

We're up to 17 swappers, with room for plenty more!  I want to welcome two more first-time swappers:  littlenutbrownsquirrel, and little-cupcake.  We are glad you will be crafting with us!

Why don't you go to the tutorial and make a practice one?  There's plenty of time before sign-ups close, and that might give you the confidence you need to sign up.  I hope you do!

This is an awesome idea and I actually might do just this! Hopefully I'll be back here signing up before July 9!

I just had to have a practice at making one  Grin

The Owl and hearts  are made of 100% wool felt and sewn on

I could make hundreds of these, they are soooo much fun. I can't wait until we get partners (only 10 days to go!)

And this is great inspiration. This fabric is adorable!

Niiiiice tote, Bunnie Boo!
It made me think that I might fill it up with an issue of a fave magazine -- or two -- for my partners' reading pleasure!
The wool gives it nice texture. Great!

I'm excited to be signed up! Is there an faq or something somewhere that talks about the swap point system, like what equals 1 point, 2 points, etc?

To answer mommai's question about the "points" for filling the tote, this is from the swap FAQ:

There has been a bit of confusion as to what is a large, medium, and small item.  So here's a handy dandy guide.  This is a guideline ONLY: a rough estimate of sizes described by time it takes to make package, by physical size and by cost:

By Time
-Large = 3 or more hours
-Medium = 2 or more hours
-Small = 2 or less hours

By Size
-Large = A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse
-Medium = one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf
-Small = Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks

By Price
-Large = $30 or more
-Medium = $10-$30 dollars
-Small = $10 or less

I mentioned the "one to two point range" simply as a guideline for filling the totes; I don't want anyone to feel that they have to spend a lot of time or money on filling it, it is just supposed to be a bag of fun surprises for your partner.  As long as the tote is full (not necessarily stuffed to the gills) of things suited to your partner (based on her questionnaire and wists, pinterests, etc), you will have met the requirement.

@Whistley & susanab Thanks for your well wishes and I successfully completed the pouch, not without a few moments of confusion.  I was following a pattern and sewing on a zipper so it took me about 3 hours or so and it didn't come out too bad.  I just need to learn how to finish/tying off of thread and I am good to go!

So I am definitely in this swap since I have more than one evening to sew it!

I will be filling out my questionnaire and sending in soon!
