Tokyo Subway Map

I've finished the Tokyo Subway Map Quilt! YAY!!!!

I'm pleased with the final product. It's not nearly as good as Elizabeth Hartman's www.ohfransson.com...but I'm ok with that. She is my current idol and I kinda have a girl crush on her.

I have been doing various crafts all my life. I've been married to my husband for a hundred years (maybe not quite THAT long). I have never made him anything. He asked me early in our relationship to make him a blanket. I started to crochet him an afghan back then but never finished. It was one of those things that I didn't like how it was turning out so I never finished it. Oops.

So this year, I decided to finally do something for the love of my life.

He loves it.

This is cool! Did you actually use a subway map for the "route"? Or is that just the name of the quilt pattern/style? Something like this would make a great memorabilia piece for a traveler

Beautiful! What a great gift for a husband and father. I want to make this someday. Plus, I think this would be a great reference to use for making quilts of other subway maps.

As soon as I saw the thumb nail, I knew you had done Oh Fransson's Tokyo Subway quilt. You did a fabulous job, but it doesn't look like the kids are going to let go of it - you may need to make another one. . .
