A friend of mine is a connoisseur of cursing.  Asshat is one of her favorite words.  Since I cannot draw to save my life, I Googled the term and found this link: http://internalbleedingstrawberry.tumblr.com/post/1521859654/it-cuts-my-bread-when-people-call-each-other-asshats

I used one of the drawings and came up with this for her:

The frame is for a wallet sized photo.  I used back stitch and seed stitch and made it all wonky and crude to match the subject matter.

The thing is, I like it so much that I feel like I need to make one for myself.  (And that never happens.  I usually hate my stuff when it's done.  Maybe I'm growing... =^D)

Oh, I should make something similar for my friend who is also an, as you put it, conneisseur of cursing, and sometimes uses this word in Swedish (which would be "rvhatt" Grin). I had no idea the word even existed in English!

I love the contrast you created by using that flowery fabric.

Thanks for the praise. It is a silly little piece, but I had so much fun with it. I think that my next one just might be "rvhatt" if that's ok. Your comment got me thinking that I'd like to do an asshat series same embroidery but in different languages.

That's adorable!  I might have to make one myself now Smiley

And cursing in other languages is even funnier- there's a guy at my work who curses (very loudly!) in German whenever he's frustrated.  Scary as heck at first but now it's just hilarious!
