Ah, sunflowers, a favourite subject of mine. We may not have the brilliance of Van Gogh, but they will always brighten up my day. I don't spot any bleeding in there, so I think you've done a great job for a first time.

Learnt to do this at my local Womens Institute monthly craft group last week.
Painted it in the hoop to stretch the silk, which must be taut.
Used special sillk paints and gutta for outlining - available from most art shops I think.
Traced outline on reverse side in pencil, then followed lines with gutta on right side, and coloured in with silk paints.
Will try free hand painting next time I think.
Need to find a nice frame for these sunflowers now, need my hoop back for sewing!
