SOOOO.... I just completed my first ever freezer paper stencil and I think I'm in LOVE! This is such an awesome craft! I may have found a new obsession... eee! So I just had to share. I'll freely admit that it's not as awesome as much of the lovely freezer paper stencilled projects I see here, and you are all my inspiration (plus I used this blog tutorial - http://celticmommy.blogspot.com/2009/03/freezer-paper-stencil-t-shirts-tutorial.html - great description and tips)

Anywho - let me know what you think of my first attempt... I see many stencilled personalized things in my future. So fun!
Here is my celtic tree bag (this is the main image that comes up when you google "Celtic Tree" and I love it)

I think for the next few I won't pick something quite so ambitious in terms of cutting - I did suffer an injury - the price of art I guess Tongue

C&C *and tips please!* welcome.

Thanks for looking,
~Teamama

That is freaking awesome!!  The detail is marvelous - you did pick an ambitious first project!  The thumbnail pic made me think of blackwork embroidery, so you've got the detail part spot on!

Don't stop - you've started off with a huge WIN!

Thanks! I totally totally love it. I got up this morning and was like - yup! LOVE IT!
So I'm totally psyched to keep going... oh dear oh dear my other crafts will suffer... but I think they'll survive... I see my children and hubby going around in stencilled items from here on out! He he! Cheesy

You did a great job! Sometimes starting off with such an  ambitious project makes all the other ones seem like nothing

Thanks! I've since started working on a multi-level stencil... I'll see how that goes. I like the idea of breaking an image out into different parts and layering on the colours... I'll post no matter what - success or disaster - the tips and feedback from Craftster are so helpful!
