v I suppose dress recons make me crazily excited...

I came across this dress at a thrift store for $6, and I knew it had some serious potential

After taking off the sleeves, doing a bit of tailoring, and adding new buttons and white piping, it was ridiculously cute!

I wore it to a party and got some strange looks, but I suppose that's just because teenagers are so closed minded. But look, it even has a pretty back opening!

Life is too short to wear boring clothes.

I think the stuff teenagers see in stores is just so far from this, that they aren't used to it. When i made my tattered skirts i got a few looks too, but i think youll end up with the same experience of getting women over 20 telling you its amazing. Teenagers like looking simular, and your dress is bound to stand out every time you wear it. Definately keep wearing it though, theyre just silly kids Wink lol

Very cute =)

And I'm happy to see a lot of the ugly stuff from when I was a kid re-purposed into something much nicer... A far better option than the other trend of just wearing the 80's stuff as it was, but in new fabrics.

I love your new updated dress! (The print kind of reminds me of some curtains we used to have when I was growing up!)  Smiley
