I made this maxi dress to wear to a friend's sweet 16. I used a tutorial from the blog "Make it and Love It", and it's definitely the simplest and most comfortable dress I've ever made!

Since this particular fabric wasn't available on the ruffle fabric website, I actually took a bus into the city just to go to the garment district, find it and come home Tongue (there's surprising benefits to living in NJ!)

It's so cute, and the pearls go great!

Wait, there's a ruffle fabric website?

I love everything about this dress.  The ruffles, the length, the ruffles, the black sash, the ruffles.  And I'm not even a ruffle-wearing person, normally.

It looks great on you.

That's so pretty! I love how it's so feminine but not too terribly sweety-sweet. And the color combination is gorgeous!

That looks so delicate and elegant!

Be strange. Be weird.  Be geeky. Embrace cuteness =)
