This beast took me the greater part of 6 years.  It survived 4 moves, both undergraduate and graduate school, and many personal experiences and changes in my life.

Believe it or not, this project is my first counted cross stitch project (I prefer to think big).  In its entirety, this project is four full pages of pattern, 75 different colors, and it is 30,030 cross stitches!!!!!  Before being framed, it sat at a full 11x14 inches.  The unframed product looks super wavy and uneven, but it was just the way it was sitting on the couch when I was photographing it.

This was a test of my tenacity and commitment to finishing a project.

When I was wee, I had a pee-chee type folder that I was completely in love with of this mother and baby unicorn.  I would trace it and draw on it.  After it deteriorated and could no longer hold papers, it lived on my wall for months.
Years later, I found it as a cross stitch pattern on eBay and decided that it was fate and I had to do it!  I am not really a pink and purple unicorn type person, but this picture continues to speak to me all these years later.

I did not work on it nonstop, but a project like this can hardly be worked on nonstop.  It is the first thing I have ever had professionally framed, and I think it came out really nicely.

C&C welcome.  I would really like to hear what people think of it.  I am still kinda in shock that I am done with this project!
Enjoy!
Thanks for looking.

lol I think I had that folder too! Congrats on completing such a huge project. I have no patience for that much fiddly work, or fiddly work of that nature. Well done!
