This is something I had seen a lot of folks do....use white and it's like a faux bone carving. I don't know wyy it took me so long to try it, I love the look so much and I think it turned out pretty darned well. I highly recommend everyone try it on at least once  Grin

It's so pretty! Officially Wisted... How do you make the eyes look glassy? or are they glass eyes?

Thankyou! Yep, I use glass gems for the eyes, little foil, ink, and paint =)

Thankyou all so much!!

slothmuffin (love that name BTW =) adding texture is what I think I love most about PC...it's really something I want to start to explore, figuring out how to achieve more textures with tools instead of stamps and sheets. I just think you can do so much with it.

You're definitely already doing great things with it!  (And I agree re: the versatility of polymer clay.  I'm a novice with it, but it's so interesting to work with.  I love what you've done here with the feather texture on top and that really intriguing drilled-bone type effect on the segmented pieces of the bottom half.  Also, I am browsing your artfire shop right now and I am in love.  If I had extra money right now, that steampunk bee pendant would be on its way to my house right this second.   You do gorgeous, gorgeous work!)

Oh, thankyou so much....on all counts  Grin And that bee is my favorite bee I've made yet, love the details I used on it.

That feather texture is something I'm really proud of, I really want to take some time and sit with my tools and play and document what I come up with.....I know there's so many interesting textures waiting to be discovered =) I'm glad you're liking PC! It is so versatile, it's amazing really, I just love it.

Thankyou!

Love the white pc, it looks so cool and unique not to mention it works super beautifully with your other textures and colours.

The big picture may be amazing but it's the little details that inspire.
