I've come across a large stockpot strainer and I want to make it into something awesome! I was thinking some variation of a lamp or table....? It's probably about 2' tall. I've also got a dough hook for a 20qt mixer that I want to make into a simple lamp. So I am worried about going overboard on the light fixtures Smiley
Any ideas??

No such thing as too much lighting in a home! A glass or mirror on top of the strainer would make a lovely side table, you could also get VERY creative weaving things through the holes. It may work as a table and a lamp? Just need to make sure the surface you cover it with is safe.
