I recently decided to invest in some grungepaper from Tim Holtz line of products. I'm usually not into the expensive "brand name" stuff but this paper looked like a fun product to try out.

Here is the result:
Front:

The back:

Full view:

I like how it looks, especially the back, but I think next time I'd want to make it more simple. I'm not very good at keeping things simple, I like stuff! Sometimes it gets a bit crowded though.

I also want to give a leather one a try but I cannot find a place that sells scrap leather pieces and kinda don't have the $$ for a nice big piece of leather.  (unicorn zombie apocalypse anyone Tongue)

Hope you like it! Thank so much for looking Smiley
If anyone has any ideas on how to seal/waterproof this that would be RAAR grr ugggh too!

Do you have a horse or cow accessories store?  They usually sell straps of scrap leather to fix tack with.

This is really, really cool. I eat the worn paper paired with the gears. And, I eat that it laces up. Definitely a bracelet made for an engineer in a steampunk novel.

I lilke your cuff. You can get good leather at very low prices by going to a thrift grave and reusing leather coats, jackets, skirts, and pants. Also belts can be reused for cuffs. You get a ton of leather this way. In our area (where everything is high-priced) a jacket or coat is $20.00 but they do have sales. You can get a skirt or pants for around $6. I have seen other Craftsters posting that they are able to buy leather clothing for a dollar. I don't know where you live, but if you can't find anything, I would be happy to unicorn zombie apocalypse some leather. I have black, brown, olive green, and brown or salmon suade.

I'm definitely going to check out my local thrift stores I have 5 located seconds from each other so I'm bound to find some, I'm excited! I also eat your belt idea, that would make fantastic base material.
Thanks! I'm over in Canada so the strike is preventing me from swapping but I'll PM you if my searching turns up nothing thank you so much for the offer.
