Any Fullmetal Alchemist fans out there? I just watched Brotherhood and IT RULES! So I made a doll of my favorite character, Izumi Curtis, aka Teacher, aka the woman who beats up Siberian winter patrols for food and fights bears one-on-one at the age of 16.

Why is she standing on a bunch of bananas in the second picture? Because she's A HOUSEWIFE!!

I used the awesome Magdalena doll pattern from here, with Sugar-and-Cream off-white and some misc acrylic for the rest. The clothing is all freehand--the vest is in two pieces, double-crocheted, sewn together at the back and the front, and the pants are 4 pieces (couldn't figure out how else to do them). The flip flops are circles of brown yarn with the purple straps chained onto the tops of the feet. Her dreads are made of tightly twisted strands of yarn (cording?).

Such a cute little thug.  I love her expression.
