I live in an apartment above some businesses, so there is no yard at all. I do, however, have a very ugly deck and some rooftop to work with, so with a minimal budget and a touch of spring fever I got to work.

There was already a giant spool table up there, so I added a couple of solar jars, and painted a thrift store chair for a bit of color. Then I made a pallet garden as seen in this awesome tutorial: http://lifeonthebalcony.com/how-to-turn-a-pallet-into-a-garden/

There! Much better!  I also have some veggies growing on the roof in pots. Smiley

I love you pallet garden. I want to make one for myself on of these years. Your basil is looking amazing as well.  I'd love to see more pics in a month or so when everything had grown out even more.
