I was inspired by AlwaysInspired's zetti chair that she posted last year (http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwaysinspired/4633639856/) and knew I had to make something in the same fashion.

My mom and I recently moved to Oregon from Phoenix (and before that, Tennessee) and rented a house where our landlord has sweetly given us permission to do whatever we'd like to the house. We first started out by building some raised beds in the backyard. They're easy, peasy 3x3 ft beds, but they ignited a little fire. We decided we NEEDED a larger bed in the front yard (6x3).

Long story short, we built a larger bed, added pickets (for stuff to vine up, but it didn't work) and I painted them. Everyone in the neighborhood loves them and our landlord hasn't evicted us for our loud garden art.

I'd like to have gotten a little more intricate with the designs, but we nailed the slats and planted the garden before I started painting, so it was a huge pain in the hiney to paint bent over.

Hope you enjoy!

This is so adorable! I hate that I live in an apartment because I would love to have a garden that fabulous.

This is the cutest garden - you are so artsy! I agree with the neighbors - this looks great.  Cheesy

I love it! I think all gardens should have some bold color to them. Well done!

That's so wonderful! I'd love to make one of these too, they are so utterly cheerful Grin Well, maybe I can persuade my bf's mother to let me paint the raised flower bed bf and I constructed in her garden a few weeks ago. Just like AlmostDawn, I also sorely lack my own garden...
