I couldn't sleep the other night and to get my mind off of stressful work things, I tried thinking about crafting instead Smiley. This was one of the ideas that popped into my tired brain.

I had so much fun making it that now I want to come up with other play on word hoops!

I used my usual embroidery supplies for this... linen fabric, wool felt, floss and my alphabet stamps!

I hope you get a kick out of it!

UPDATE!!
I created a little pattern from my original sketches for this hoop (see the pdf attachment). You can use this + the tutorial I made for felt embroidery to make your own sublime hoopla Smiley. Have fun!!

Lime, this is adorable!  I really love the play on words and it is stitched so perfectly!  Could you tell me which alphabet set you're using?

Oh, I wish I knew, atsuko! I can't remember where I got them. It must have been Michael's or Joann's??

These look almost identical only they don't have numbers in the set like mine does...

So cute! So clean! So inspiring!
I am going to try your technique for a swap I'm in currently. Hopefully mine comes out as nice as yours! You make me expand my horizons.

Haha Lime, you are awesome!  Cheesy Cheesy

I'd never thought of stamping on fabric. Does the ink not bleed?
