It takes me about 3 hours to mow our grass on the lawn tractor. It's my FAVOURITE chore Smiley As I mow I have visions of where the pixies, goblins and faeries live on our hilly grounds. Then I thought "How wonderful would it be to build those villiages so others can see them too!" And so, it being summer solstice and the PERFECT night for faerie activity I began setting up my little faerie fantasy.

Each of the houses measures between 1. 5 and 3 feet tall. There is a fire pit, laundry line, miniature garden tools that were given to me eons ago, fences, stone paths and branch swing. There's loads more floating around in my head and this is going to be my big project for the summer but I figured it was on it's way enough that I could share some pics.

That's fantastic! I love the little doors the most! I also love that there's a wee birdhouse for tiny fairy birds. Smiley

I used to build fairy huts with kids I babysat years ago.  It was always a fun thing to do in the backyard and I enjoyed it as much as the five and seven year old did.  Ours were not nearly so elaborate, but this has me wanting to make some on my back patio now.

Oh my gosh! On Monhegan Island in Maine they have a whole forest full of these, it's so magical. And I used to build this on the playground at school!

All the little details on this just make these phenomenal!  Excellent pics!  I can just imagine all the little fairies doing their chores and living in these little homes.  The roofs are so neat!

So, I was thinkin':  I love the little clothesline best.  Then I saw the fire pit and I thought: Oh, that's my favorite.  Then I saw the little swing and I was like: OMG!!!  Then I realized that it is All Amazing.

Your gnomey-fairyland homes are so fun! You've got me thinking that my trees need doors & windows!
The clothes line with all the shirts is so neat! I can just imagine a little forest dweller in their least fashionable attire ...because it's laundry day... hanging up their freshly washed items!

I'm going to hit 'this rocks' because your creativity tells a story! Great work!

I'm also a lover of the mowing chore here & it takes many hours, but I spend a lot of time hunting for four leaf clovers & take a lot of breaks.  Wink
