thankyou all again, the bird was actually the first one i did and i was really worried that it wouldn't look good, but then i thought, what the heck, if it doesn't work i can just slice the end off and start over  Grin but it came out so sweet looking it gave me the confidence to try the flower, which led me to think i could do the mon
and they all look at least a bit like they're supposed to so it's all good

found 3 more erasers this morning, so i have 4 available for carving, don't know what to do though, Dr Who logo maybe? or the Torchwood logo? that might be a bit ambitious, but we'll see

well, they stood up to their week of work admirably and 2 even made it home.
one of the ladies on the course really liked the mon stamp and was wondering what she would have to do to take it home with her so we made a deal, she made a donation to the organisation's charity of choice (Free Tibet) and i'd give her the stamp at the end of the week
so in the end she donated 10 and i gladly gave her the stamp
if i remember i'll try and get pics of the 2 other stamps i've made and post them too, but they already got mailed to people

Nice work!  I love all of them - I need to start carving again.  (I have 3 Deathly Hallows stamps on my desk right now, and I need to work on my Halo/Master Chief one for my little niece!)
