Made this woodland diorama and all the creatures for my second book (which should be out soon). It was a lot of fun to make. I find I do like making the dioramas - just not sure I have space to keep all the ones I would like to make! lol!!  Grin

Seriously, your work is gorgeous!

Thanks!!!  Grin  Grin

I actually do step-by-step instructions on the critters AND the diorama in the book while also trying to demonstrate common problems and solutions. They're all beginner - intermediate level projects and so much fun to make!!! I ended up having to make the fairy twice (lost some photos) which gave me the opportunity to discuss some problems I had with the first fairy. Wink

Thanks!!!

The door actually opens as well - not that I made much use of the inside of the tree stump. I just lined it with craft felt. If the stump had been larger I could have done an whole interior scene too - the more I do these, the more ideas keep popping into my head on what I could do. Someday I hope to have grandkids and then I will create a treestump doll house with multiple levels and all sorts of things!! FUN!!!

Dioramas are time (and fiber) consuming, but they aren't difficult - just addicting!! lol!!

Thanks!!! Smiley

I wonder how many people notice the smiley on the small mushroom! Smiley Haven't had much time for needle felting of late - trying to work on getting my tools set for casting and working on a painting commission (and also belated spring house cleaning).
