I tried to do the smallest possible chain stitches for this. This took me a few days to stitch up. I used the flamingo picture from a tattoo by Uncle Allan, the circle behind the head is a button and the roses are from a colouring page I found on Google Images.

That is the most gorgeous embroidery I've ever seen! It's so pretty!    I just love the expression on his face, if that's what you'd call it on a flamingo.

Epic Kudos.

That flamingo actually has a personality!  Beautiful work.  The colors just pop and the roses are stunning.

So awesome!  The chain stitch looks fab and you combined the three sources really nicely on this.  With the circle behind his head it reminds me of a holy card hee hee and a flamingo holy card is just the sort of thing I'd love to hang on my wall.   Grin

I love the composition of the image.  It is bright and bold yet balanced and nice.

Wow thankyou!! I thought I'd try and make it look a bit like a stained glass window. I'm gonna keep hold of the rose design, I'm entertaining the idea of doing a series of them with other random animals and objects in the middle and similar backgrounds.

This is beautiful and fun! I love everything about it. Your tiny chain stitches look really great. I think it adds a more interesting texture than a plain backstitch.

Thanks! I'm definitely leaning towards chain stitch as my basic stitch for future use rather than backstitch. I like how bold the lines come out Smiley
