Very cute hat! You picked a good color too - it matches your eyes.  Smiley

Nice hat!  I made this hat and immediately ran out for more yarn to make another - it's such a great pattern.

Linda63pt - the brim was easy - go for it!

Wow, I thought this looked kind of dorky in the book when I first got it, but every single time I see a picture of one that somebody has made, I love it!  Yours look great!  Nice color.  Guess I'll have to put this on my To Knit list!  Promise the brim is easy, crabby?

Thanks everyone!
And the brim is super easy.  It was my first time picking up stitches and I had no problems.

Great job! It really is a good color on you.
So question- did you use the yarn they called for or a sub.? I wanted to make this hat with a tweed I have, but I was worried that if the gauge wasn't exactly right it could throw the whole thing off.

Whoa, your colour is like, identical to mine, but we used different yarns. Awesome!

Bobolink- I used the Blue Sky Alpaca the pattern called for as I was concerened about gauge also.  However, after making it, if the yarn you have is relativily close in gauge I'd say you should be fine.  Only if your gauge is larger than what the pattern calls for I'd go down a couple needle sizes for the ribbing.  I found mine could stand to be a little snugger.
