so, for the Labyrinth swap, a million years ago, deadbathducky and I were partnered up and decided to do 'extras' for each other. I got an amazing TARDIS shadowbox for my husband, and deadbathducky requested a zombie plush with removable organs. It took me three tries, and I was so very unhappy with the first two (they were Weapons Grade Ugly, people). I was going to send the second, but couldn't bring myself to inflict such ugliness and bad crafting, so it was middle of the night crafting and I finally made something I was proud of. She *just* got the package, so I'm happy to post the pics of it.

her face! so proud of this! I'm glad I made it of corderoy, I like the texture.

in her altogether

I needed a way to make her limbs removable - ties were terrible, velcro was a mess - but buttons were a go!

and I needed a chest cavity

for her innards!

heart, stomach, liver, kidneys, lungs, small intestine, large intestine, gall bladder, and bladder

a head flap??

for her braaaaaaaaaiiiiiiii iinnnnnn

deadbathducky was really hoping for a removable brain (for the doll), so I came up with this - a styrofoam ball cut into basic brain shape, hot glue and greyish paint

and now, to misquote Miss Patsy Cline, she fell to pieces ... (hmm mmm mmm mmm)

and dressed and just hanging out.

I'm not to crazy for zombies, but your Ideas & putting all the details is amazing. I love how you made it to come apart, great idea with the buttons, you have a great imagination. Also I like it you made it out of the corduroy, love the texture. Great job!! Cheesy

aww, thanks guys! but, credit where credit is due: this was deadbathducky's brain child, she sent me sketches and told me her brainstorming on how to make it - and then I took those ideas and ran with them. I would never have attempted this out of my own thoughts - but I'm glad to have partnered her for this! I like the challenge!

That is an amazing brain she's got! I couldn't tell what it was made out of at first. I love that at the end she's dressed in a cheerful, flowery outfit. Cheesy

The poppet is brilliant!  The corduroy works so perfectly for the zombie skin, and all the details of organs and detachable limbs and her BRAIN!  So great. You totally figured out how to execute a complicated poppet idea, and it is awesome, lucky partner!
