Sew In Love

I have really wanted to make a fun circle skirt for myself for a while now.  But finding fabric that I can fold into quarters to cut a doughnut out is hard.  But I went to the quilt back section of Fabric Depot and found this super pretty print.  I love it!  Plus the colors gave me an excuse to wear my yellow shoes which I was needing.
I also bought some pretty olive green stretch crushed velvet from Joanns a while back and made a leotard out of it.  You can't see the bottom because I'm a bit modest and wore my skirt which I also made a while back.  Some fun creations in the past few months.

nicely done on both the skirt and the crushed velvet top! i always think that sewing clothes is so outside my realm--how easy is the circle skirt to do?

I love the color of that leotard with your hair Grin  the idea of making something out of stretchy velvet makes me want to pull mine out, but I wish I cold sew leotards. My kids outgrow theirs too fast! Did you make your own pattern? Was it hard?

You just make the darn cutest stuff. I LOVE that circle skirt (although as I may have mentioned previously, I am a complete sucker for circle skirts, they just make me want to twirl constantly). The print is fantastic and I completely heart your shoes. Also, I want your hair.

You are gorgeous. That green stretch velvet is AMAZING with your coloring and I love the belting on that outfit like whoa. Also, the first skirt's material is absolutely gorgeous. Great choice.
