Cuddly hammock for my little puppy

One of my boyfriend's coworkers had a dog who had puppies! And, unfortunately, he isn't a very responsible dog owner. He gave away all of the puppies but one... He planned on keeping him, but seeing as he already had four dogs, he decided against it and was going to take him to the pound the next day. We couldn't let that happen, so we took the puppy home that very same day and named him Pumba. He was barely three weeks old--not even weened. Here's a picture of him of the night we brought him home:



He had trouble sleeping... But we noticed that he liked to be rocked, like a baby. Of course, we weren't going to rock him all night, so I asked my boyfriend to help me make him a hammock!

I did the sewing, with Pumba's help, of course.



My boyfriend made the frame.



We ended up making taking off those wierd black things at the bottom of the hammock, but I can't find any pictures of the final product.

Pumba loved his little hammock and slept in it until he was old enough and comfortable enough to sleep in a normal doggy bed

So cute! What a sweet thing to do. I come from a family of many, many dogs (my parents currently have 10 - I know, I know) and I love that!
