I am pretty much in awe of every package being displayed - seems like everyone put crazy time and thought into their packages.. I have much wisting to do!! ...but I have to say, I am a messenger bag addict and that Harry Potter steampunk bag is making me drool. I'm rather upset my mutterings of "accio bag" aren't working. Wink

LOL. you just have to throw the accio spell bag a bit harder Tongue

I got my package from Abbeeroad.
I thought I had an idea what would be in it, because I helped with the translation of some game cards.
Ha.
I knew nothing.
Imagine my shock when I saw this:

Oh, I thought, I'm getting a Marauder's map bag, how insanely cool! I love this map!

But then I opened it and turned it inside out, and it was the map of the game! It's impossible to describe all the texture, fabrics and details it has, and the pictures don't do it justice. The whole family is in love with this game! We've played it three times already!
Sorry, but I need to post a lot of pics.

Start: Privet Drive.
Note: Button details!
Also: Hogwarts Express!

Next: Diagon Alley, Hogwarts, Quidditch pitch, Forbidden Forest
Note: Button details! Starry sky!
Also: little snitch, and animals hiding in the forest (it took me longer than a day to discover the little dragon...)

Next: the lake, the Burrow, Hogsmeade
Note: stitch details, the garden

Dragon!

cards and pins for the game, and house crests for my kids' hogwarts costumes

and a great cookie mix

Thank you so much, Abbeeroad! This package is much much loved, and the map of the game is up on our wall when we don't play it!

Unbelievable. I'd love to see more pics of that game, the details are just amazing.

So I received from Alchamy513, and it's all wonderful! You might want to stretch out your wisting/pinning fingers for this stuff!

First, a group shot:

Necklaces abound, as do Cockroach Clusters (not pictured, but delicious).
Theres a fantastic Monster Bag of Monsters! Im going to try to get a better shot of it on a body tonight, but its wonderful and roomy. Crocheted with nubbly yarn and lots of fangs for chomping on the fingers of people who try to get at my Cockroach Clusters or tissues without permission.

Lets get to the glamour shots, shall we?

A teeny tiny crocheted Thestral, cantering around my shelves.

A necklace made from one of the flying keys from the first book:

A Quibbler Necklace, which I am wearing to the office on Monday for sure!

A Golden Snitch Necklace (My personal favorite, that Ill wear to the premiere)

An awesome Gryffindor colored friendship bracelet from her sister:

Alchamy, thank you for being such a wonderful swap partner! I am in love with all of the crafts. Thank you!
