Trevor went out on the Sae Hrafn today - he managed to stay out of the bilge (we had a very large crew and took on a considerable amount of water due to sitting low in the water). It was pretty hot out, but he wanted to wear his new Viking tunic and hat.

Docking at a restaurant for a snack:

There was a pretty good breeze, so we put the sail up and did not have to row too much. I think we were in Canoe Neck Creek at this point.

Bogart and I went to Detroit for a concert last Thursday.
Here he is at the D Shop in front of Tiger Stadium.  Notice the lights on the outside of the building are tigers with baseballs in their mouths?  Isn't that awesome?

The place where we saw the concert is an old renovated movie palace from 1928.  It's listed as a National Historic Landmark. Check out these pictures of the place.  Everything is ornately decorated.

Even the bathroom signs!

The entry is flanked by these tigers with jeweled eyes.

This is the view of the main floor from the 4th floor, I think.

Here's the main room ceiling.  Isn't it gorgeous?

I'm very jealous of Hayley now. It looks so amazing!

Cookie and I have been having a couple of adventures ourselves. First, July 25th was Pioneer Day, which is a big summer holiday here in Utah. Cookie enjoyed the parade and fireworks!

Then, 3 days later, we left for a trip to California. My obsessive hobby is costuming so we attended Costume College 2011. It was awesome!

Me and Cookie at the Ice Cream Social.

It's a little fuzzy and makes me look pregnant. Oh well, Regency styles do that to you!

Cookie with a bevy of well dressed Victorian ladies.

We also drove by some of the movie studios and the Disney Concert Hall, but those pictures are on my phone. Maybe I'll just save them for the scrapbook. Smiley
