Tawd had a lot of fun this weekend!! Here are a few pictures.

Helping the hubby and his band set up for their show

Yikes, about the end of the set... luckily I told Tawd, hands off that beer.  Tongue

We even put Tawd to work in the kitchen!!

Having fun, and looking forward to our trip (which has been moved from Virginia to North Carolina!!!)

We visited the Luminarium yesterday, which was just stunning! here's a little about it

Architects of Air is an internationally renowned inflatable walk in art installation, manufactured from translucent pvc, the Luminarium, Amococo. The structure transforms natural light into a kaleidoscope of liquid light and colour spilling across labyrinthine pathways, cavernous domes and curved walls. The initial reaction is often one of wonder and delight at the unexpected beauty created ,often described as walking through a stained glass window

Here is the outside

And inside

Ooh, neat!

Gus and I started a little bit of work on the scrapbook last night. Not much, but a start. I printed up some pics with a promo deal at Snapfish so I got ones of events through 4th of July ready to sort and organize. Of course, I'll get more printed before all is through but you have to snag good print deals when you can! Wink

Ricki and I are suffering from some pretty serious jet lag but we'll be out and about (and posting about it) as soon as we recover.

I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Whoo hoo! Hockey! Grin (I've touched the Cup too for what it's worth. Came on tour here a few years ago and we got our picture taken with it. Love wouldn't touch it but I'm like, screw that, I'm never going to be in the NHL, I'm touching it!! Grin )

I touched it when they had the All Star game in Raleigh. 2 hours in line! I took my Little Visitor from the last round with me. He didn't touch the Cup, but he saw it.

Rupert has had a lovely week so far, with snow adventures on monday (when we had the coldest weather  we have had for 16years...crikey...) and then on tuesday in the beautiful sunshine we went into wellington city for another adventure there, this time visiting Te Papa and the giant squid, and seeing parliment (the beehive) as well as seeing some of the funny arty things around wellington, then wednesday we went and visited Weta Workshops 'Cave'...where they have some of the movie items from some of their movies...more adventures planned for tomorrow and saturday.  We have begun scrapbooking and re-covering the scrapbook too...and are working on more of that today...as well as crocheting something special for Nikki...

Millie and I returned from our trip to the US on Sunday, but we're still recovering from jetlag! It took us 27 hours and four flights to get home  Shocked

Millie stayed by my side the entire trip... she poked out of the pocket of my bag so she could see everything too  Grin

First we went to Washington, where we saw Dorothy's ruby slippers!!!! in the National Museum of American History

And Millie touched a piece of the moon in the National Air and Space Museum

We also saw all of the obvious sights, but I'm saving most of those for Millie's scrapbook  Wink

On our last day we took the train for a walk through Old Town, Alexandria and Millie went for a stroll in the sunshine beside the Potomac River

Then we took a train from Washington to New York!!!!!

Here is Millie enjoying the crowds

And in the FRONT ROW to see Phantom of the Opera on Broadway  Grin

Renting a row boat on the lake in Central Park... Millie and I didn't do much rowing  Roll Eyes

And one of my favourites... with Samuel L. Jackson outside Madame Tussauds. We actually did go inside and I'm still sore I missed out on SO many good picture opportunities with Millie but... I actually forgot  Embarrassed It was my first day out with my friend from England who I met up with in New York for the FIRST time EVER so I was a bit harebrained - plus we were slightlyyy distracted ravaging the Johnny Depp waxwork  Grin

That's all for now as this is getting ridiculously long and I have to be at mentoring... Millie doesn't get to have photos there as we aren't allowed to take pictures with the kids in them, but she's coming along anyway  Cheesy

OH also I almost forgot... I'm so jealous Hatty went to the midnight screening of Harry Potter!!!!! I didn't get to go as my best friend was home in Sydney and I was in New York  Tongue but we did go almost as soon as I got back and here is Millie enjoying the displays (a bit blurry cos I was obviously too excited to take proper photographs  Roll Eyes )

That's awesome!  For a second there I thought that was the REAL Samuel L. Jackson! lol.
But I have good news!!  MY CAMERA WORKS AGAIN!!!!!  That means I can stop using my phone to take pics now.  So happy!!  My SILs brother figured it out, and it was such an easy fix, later I had to hit my head against the wall.  Guess what it was!  The video card.................... yea, all i had to do was buy a new SD card................ <sigh> why didn't I think of that lol!  But now I cant take my pictures to my hears content again!  Can we say drive by shootings! lol
