I've worked a lot with Perler beads in the past but when the Pokemon swap came around I wanted to do something different for my partner.

I decided to use hand-cut squares of paper to form my image. Winged_soul listed Psyduck as one of her favorite pokemon and I knew that I could break him down pretty easily.

I broke my canvas down into a 1" grid. Then I did a little math with my nifty Paint image and the space available and realized that I'd need to make my paper squares......1/4".

Clearly, I have trouble visualizing the size of something accurately.

I measured. And measured again. I thought that I had messed something up and had my husband do the math. Nope. 1/4". And although my husband said I was crazy, I cut tiny little squares.



It was....maddening. The moment it was finished I made some silly statement about "not doing that again".

Strange that I've already started putting down a grid on another canvas.  Wink
