OK so...  I'm all signed up and what not and I'm starting on my GD's  (hehehe  I was telling CraftADDChick that only on craftster can we be part of the GD swap and have it not be profanity - lol).  I suppose that if one of my partners wants the varigated twist I can do that real quick after partners are assigned.  hmmmm....  Cause right now I'm just making little squares like a crazy person!  Cheesy

Me too. I got about 36 done yesterday, and they were a set for verigated, but if none of my partners want them, I'll just take the multi colored ones out Smiley

good idea! ive already almost completely finished all of my squares for the varigated twist and i was thinking to myself yesterday, "what if nobody even wants varigated ones???" i never really thought about just taking out only the multicolor ones. haha. sometimes im a slow thinker....   Tongue

I started making some with varigated yarn without thinking.  My brain just said "they're pretty!"  lol.  But now I have a great idea for a shawl using the colors I made GDs out of!  Cheesy  Very exciting.  Smiley

I would really love to join in on this round but I think I only have like black, white and red yarn lol. Will have to think on this one.

Making GDs was one way for me to build my yarn stash, especially when I needed more of a particular color group. I'm making a blanket that has 8 or 9 color groups and I didn't have a lot of reds... so I added some red yarns to the stash... and then some greens... and pinks... It was spread out over about a year, so I wasn't buying them all at once (and I tried to get them on sale).

I also had a few rounds of the Little Odd Ball Swap under my belt, so I had a bunch of random colors. Ten yards of a color would net me about 4 or 5 GDs. If you know anyone with a more colorful stash, perhaps you could beg for a few yards of several colors Grin
