Oh yes - it's that long awaited time that has been waaaay overdue....WORK HOLIDAY!!! Cheesy So what do I spend my time away from sewing? Do more sewing. It never bloody stops!! Tongue

I have a pile of projects that have been aching to be put together - but I haven't made anything for ME in a long, long time. So I decided to nip that in the bud today. Weather was foul, the boyfriend was going mental at the Xbox....so I thought I'd get on with my Batman dress. *Clark Kent has got NOTHING on Bruce Wayne, FACT.*

I am dead impressed with how it turned out. Smiley I never used this paticular pattern before (it's a New Look one, but I don't remember the number) and have always wanted to....but the thought of a gathered 'sweetheart' bodice/neckline scared the crap out of me. :|

The close up of the bodice does make it seem like the neckline is a bit wonky, but my dressform wasn't having any of it.....but it turned out perfectly fine. Smiley

Most importantly, it fits like a dream!!! All I need is a big ol' red petticoat and I am set. Smiley Since I'm not too ample up on top, it does give me a bit of 'ample-age' and the halter neck doesn't irritate the back of my neck like other halter ties. Put some red stitching along the seams to give it a bit of a punch - as I do like my contrasting colours for stitching. Cheesy

Yes, I am wearing tracksuit bottoms underneath - it's freaking cold at the moment....regardless it's nearly summer. :| Rubbish.

Heck to the Yeah!  I have gots to find me some Batman material to make a dress now!

I'd gladly export some of our over 90(F) heat that we've had the past two weeks because a freakin' high pressure system has camped out over the southeast USA!

And the red petti will make it pop all the more.

You would think with all the batman made things, that they would have loads of it in craft stores. I usually end up with old batman sheets.
