Ha, I checked those out too. Apparently they don't want big girls running around in them.  Tongue (i swear, I would only wear them in the house  Cry )

hmm. most of those patterns are identical to ones i've seen all over the place (free and not free). esp. the journal cover and plastic shopping bag - almost identical

so I was about to post that my first published article ever is in the new Spun..then I saw this thread and was thrilled...until the last comment..
Uh, the journal cover ( http://www.spunmag.com/article/050605bookcoverr) was my pattern, and yes, it's simple, but I've never seen any patterns for book covers and only a few patterns using recycled silk sari yarn. I created it because I wasn't finding any good blank books to journal in, so I covered a cheap one I found. After having knit it, I read that Spun needed submissions for small things, or things using interesting yarns...both descriptions fit my cover so I sent it in.
I am utterly thrilled to be published in this interesting, clever online zine and I hope that people enjoy the free patterns, many of which are created by fellow Craftsters.

Staralee, I'm planning to make the journal cover for a b-day present. My friend is obsessed with journals & recycling, so it'll be perfect. Smiley
I would like to know where all the lovely colored plastic bags are hiding.  The closest thing to color I've found is the light beige Kroger bags.  Not terribly cute, but at least they're not plain white. Argh.
