I had an old Jeans and a very old white T-Shirt. So I've considered to sew a new top.

First I have been making a drawing. I want to have a jeans-square on which one I will sew the old t-shirt.

I cut the shirt under the arms once complete. So I have a straight line.

Then I cut out pieces of the jeans to make the square.

Then I put this once on my dress form to see how it looks.

It was not provided so, but I like the waterfall at the back.

I sew it all together.

The Waterfall back on my dress form. (Have tried to photograph my back .... Hopeless ...)

CC welcome.

I love the look of it.  Did you turn down the edges and sew under the arms?  It is really a neat look!  I may have to try this out..   About how long were your straps?  Sorry for all the questions, my girls would love a shirt like this..

@Linda P: Under the arms is just the T-Shirt. I'd better sewn the strapes a bit oblique, because the edges of the jeans-square in the front stick out a little bit...
The strapes are 42 cm long (about 17 inches).
