So this week I decided to try something new... Book Purses! I had all the materials on hand and they were fun to make(After I worked out the kinks)
Before I get attacked for dismembering these poor innocent books.. These were all damaged.. ripped pages, kids drawn in, binding broke with pages falling out,....

Those are so adorable! Is the first picture the books already as purses, i think I see a little fabric sticking out of one. It's hard to tell though. Love them Smiley

As a book lover, I am one to cry over destroyed books, but if they're already ruined then what you did kinda saved them Smiley This is something i would love to do with my favourite books, but i havent seen one of my favourites ruined. You should try doing this out of really thick books to make them have a bit more room.

Thanks! I even saved the pages to use on other craft projects.., nothing was wasted. I was given a bigger book to work on, but it was in perfect condition. So it went in the book case. See I have restraint! Lol!

These are very pretty! I've been wanting to try this for a while now- was it difficult?

The first one was surprisingly easy, but I botched the 2nd one... Lol. Plus I was a little over-enthusiastic with the exacto knife and cut the spine on two of them before I even got started.. Live and learn..lol
