I made this adorable nightgown from a tutorial over at Gingercake. It was super easy and turns out great. She only has it available in a 4T, but it's just a matter of resizing the pattern pieces. I left it the same because my daughters 4, however, she's small for her age, so it turned out a tiny bit large.

You can't see it in the picture (and honestly you can't really see it unless you're looking really closely in real life) but there are darker pink vertical stripes. Also there are darker pink flowers on the ruffle. (The best part about this is that the ruffle was already a part of the pillow case so I didn't have to do anything.)

In her tutorial she used a button closer, but she suggested also using ties if you preferred. I just happened to have pink bias tape in my stash, so I chose that route for binding the neck and the back and just let it go out to be ties. All I had to buy to make this adorable nightgown was the pillowcase which I got at the thrift store for 99 cents. Best 99 cents I ever spent!

Oh my gosh...love it! One of my favorite things to do is sew for my little niece so I'm always looking for inspiration and here it is. I already made her a load of summer dresses and have been looking for something else to make her... nightgowns it is!

Just adorable. Grin Makes me wish I still wore cute little nightgowns.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

Super cute! Way a great way to repurpose a pillow case. I see one of these in my nieces future.

Pillowcase dresses are worn in the day allllll the time...I don't think this HAS to be a nightgown.  It can be a dress too if you want.  Very girly pretty.

If you can't do it with duck tape...it can't be done!

We have a tendency to stay in our pjs all day, so it kind of doubles as both.
